I got a stocker motor w/ lt4 hot cam with edelbrock headers (crappy, i know), high flow cat, and stock intermediate pipe. If I hacked out my edelbrock muffler and welded a 3" bullet in and had a single exit pipe or possibly a dual exit tip how would it sound?

 

since the cat is in place it should sound pretty good

basically you'll have the "dynomouth" exhaust

or you could go *****-out and put a cutout on...let that hotcam breath

 

THe cut-outs sound funky to me, plus they dont allow them on weds nights at my track any more so there is no point
