I need help wiring my mallory 667s CD ignition box to my existing engine harness or whatever needs to be done to make it work. I see MSD sales a 8877 harness for 96 and 97 lt1's but it is for a 685 mallory and the 6 series msd boxes. Tried to do a search and all info I found is for a mallory 685, the instructions that came are kinda sketchy with no mention of a lt1. Thanks.

Don'y know anything about it, but is appears that you have to use the box with:

Is that the coil you are using?

The harness you mention is to connect between an GM HEI distributor and a stock coil. So that would seem not to be intended to connect to the Mallory coil, that has screw terminals.

And the data sheet seems to show how to connect the 667s to the Mallory coil.

The mystery is whether the white wire from the PCM to the stock IC Module would serve as an input to the magnetic pickup connection on the 667s.

What are you trying to accomplish with such an expensive box? Looks like something that would support a 3-stage nitrous system rev limter and retard.

 

I picked the box up from a friend for $100 bucks new in the box, I and going to be using it with my nitrous setup, I have a crane LX92 coil which is equivilent to the mallory 28880 according to Summit racing. I am going to use the retard function and the rev limiter and the 2 stage capibility.

After reading on the net last night, I think the white wire from the ICM is what would connect to the points terminal on the box, But I will wait so see if any one else has any more input. Thanks Fred.
