I have a tune for it but car is running so rich gas is in the oil. I was thinking if I had pcm tuned back to stock I could at least drive the car and break it in without worrying about spinning a bearing. Would it run good enough to break in about 400-500mi till I get to a dyno for a tune?

 

Well when I had my 306 on the stock tune it wouldn't idle to save its life and it ran not quite right lol and the power after the tune was very very noticable, but I drove it from BedFord to where I live was like 45 miles and had no problem

 

Yes it will run on the stock tune but it will still be rich. Break it in on the dyno. Ask sstrokerace you should break it in hard so the rings seat. Dont risk running it rich for to long it will wash the oil off of the bores and could cause damage or excessive wear.

 

Well I just want to be sure after I trailer it to a dyno that they can fix the problem. I didn't think it would run rich on a stock tune though. Its been programmed twice and still has the rich problem.

 

Perhaps it's not the programming then, O2's maybe? MAF? Plugs? Because I know mine ran rich too even after I Got it tuned, till I replaced the O2's

 

Already replaced all that stuff. Only the maf is original. Could maf throw it off that much?

 

I believe my problem is bad valve seats, not seating properly. At least thats what I've been told it can be

 

I'm just gonna trailer it to a dyno next week. Hope they can get it fixed.
