How to take apart the opti
-loose rotor/missing screws
-damaged rotor/shattered
-burned contacts on the cap, and on the tip of the rotor
-missing rotor button on the cap
-moisture buildup
-rust
-carbon tracking
-rust buildup in the optical sensor, blinding it
-damaged or corroded connector pins
-corrosion in the plug wires and coil wire terminals
-cracks in cap
-loose or corroded bearing/hard to turn

I don't have an opti here in front of me, but after getting the cap off my original opti, using the aforementioned torx socket, I couldn't get the rest of it apart to see what it looked on the side where the optical sensor is located. What's needed to fully disassemble the opti? It seems like there were some really small screws that had to be removed, but it's been a few months and I don't clearly recall. I do remember that I didn't seem to have anything small enough for the job.
