How is a Summit 383 kit for a LT1??

I finally drop the motor out of my other Camaro, now I'm looking for a 383 kit with all the goodies to start my rebuild. I seen a kit on Summit for $1099. Not a bad deal, I was just wondering if it would work on a 93 LT1. Anything else I need to look for when ordering? Or better yet any place cheaper??

383

Check out strokermotor.com. Good quality and good price. I used them for my 383 TA.

What all does that kit come with. The Summit kit comes with gaskets, and a double roller timing chain. It also come with an oil pump, but I dont think it will work in a LT. When you bought your kit, what did you have to get extra. I'm trying to figure out the $$ here.

its not really that great of a deal, because none of it is really top quality or forged parts. they even use crappy hyperuetectic pistons.

you can find high quality fully forged kits for $1200 (doesnt include timing chain/gaskets), and since you already have the car apart, might as well get the best.
