How to route wire #7

Alright, I bought afew extra wires and am gonna solve my misfire problem which i believe is wire related tomorrow, gonna inspect all my wires end to end and replace burnt ones. I have taylor spiro pro 8mms in now and i couldnt figure out how to get #7 in the stock location at the time of installation.

I was wondering how to get the wire inside of the little comparment thats supposed to hold it. Is there anyway to remove it and reinstall it? I want to get it like that because it is mounted bad right now and just hanging near the steering column. Any tips?

Also, anyone got any instructions on how to use the talor cut-to-fits wires? Im a little confused with them, but im sure i could figure it out.

I'm a little unsure of your question, but I personally love the routing of mine with the over-valve-cover kit... You can see how I routed them in sig - if you have stock manifolds...ignore me....

I have stock manifolds:

In that picture, see how the back wire goes through that metal tube? How do you get a wire through there/in there is all that im asking.

Re: How to route wire #7

You remove the shield, route the wire in it and put the shield back on.

That shield is a pain to take off. What I did is run plug wire spacers every few inches.

My opinion of Taylor universal wire sets are low. I just made a brand new set of them and can still see 4 wires arcing at the plug boot which the factory makes. I ordered a set of wires from http://www.elitesparkplugs.com/Productinfomation.html

I heard they are good quality wires.

What causes spark plug wires to arc? How do you prevent it? ALL of my wires are arcing, and are being replaced tomorrow.

i agree with zman. call jim at elite. i ordered a custom set, and they are great. even with heatsleeving (tucked into the boots), they came to under 100 bucks. i ordered in conjunction with a delteq, so he may have given me a break, but the whole experience was a plus.

You can pull that heat shield out just a little bit and tuck the wire in inch by inch. It takes a couple mintues but is not that hard. I just did it a couple days ago myself!
