how to: roller rocker 1.6 and springs

ok...i see all kindsof people saying people should have these installed.
i want to do these...what benefits do they have over stock?
how long does it take for a n00b-mediam exp? iv done alot of outside engine work, never inside..
could someone post or link to some sort of step by step guide? and maybe a link to the correct parts?

Basic questions about mods to the LT1 engine should be posted in "LT1 Based Engine Tech". That's not what "Advanced Tech" is for. I'll move your post to the correct forum for you.......

My Tech Page has a "how to" for changing the valve springs (which you will want to do when going to 1.6 rockers) and many other things. HP estimates probably in the range 10 or more on a stock engine. The rockers are easy-just a matter of swapping them out and adjusting them. The springs take a little time, but once you get one done, you should have them all in a couple of hours or less. Total time will be based on experience.

Use his website^^^^^ Thats what I used to change mine as well as other things......you can do it, just research it first and use common sense and you will be fine........good luck

I decided to pay the $200 and have the Chevy dealership do the springs and rockers. First time I have had more money than time. Just know if I do it myself it will take all weekend.
