How to remove T56 bellhousing?

How did you get the bolt on the bellhousing that is on the top of the drivers side? Not the very top one, the one on the top of the side of the bellhousing.

It is right next to the body, i cant get a socket over it!

Thanks!

use a short socket with a wobble extension, or a universal joint socket.

Some cars are tougher than other. if that doesnt work, you can pry the motor over a little and/or dimple the tunnel right there

I can get a 12 pt wrench on the bolt, but its too close to the bellhousing and i cant turn it. Ill probably have to dent the body.

This is not for the faint of heart. BUT....

I finally cut a flap in body from the inside. It was the best decision I ever made. You have to cut the carpet and padding, pull them back, then cut the body, fold it back, and there is your bolt!

I finally got the damn thing out. I got the 12pt on the thing half way and loosened it up, then used my index and middle finger to turn it until it came out. Took FOREVER.
