lt1's do great on spray. Especially high mileage ones, I dont know why you would be afraid of it.

You've got 11.90's in there for sure. Maybe 11.80's with some great tweaking.

Just to answer a few questions: yes, sway bar is removed, I run at Lebanon Valley in NY, and I won't get it on the dyno until mid-July. I'm going to run it again this Sat. to see what happens since I'm adding the LT4 knock module and new duct work under the car for the ram air. Also, I'm going to log this run to see how it's running. Not sure what to do next for weight reduction. So far I removed: AC, cruise, floor mats, all rear trunk stuff, sway bar, cat, skinnies, drained washer fluid.

Mystery Bird- what valve springs do you have on those heads and at what seat pressure? I know i am FI but with that cam you need to make sure you have more seat pressure, you are possibly getting valve float at high rpm's. Just a thought!

Spin that sucker? You do realize he's running a stock bottom end right? If he's not willing to run nitrous on a 77k engine, he is definitely not willing to spin as high as you need to for max power out of an 847 cam.

Yes stock bottom end. I'm spinning it now to 64-6500 and want to reach 11's NA.

ok, but at what installed height and did you have them tested at that height to see what the seat pressure is?
Patriot says installed height for my springs is 1.80 @135lbs seat pressure, that wasn't enough even for N/A applications.

I don't know remember all the specs, I put this cam in two years ago. I will be changing springs in the next off season though and possibly going to larger valves. I still have the untouched stock valves in there.

This thread was started last year when I had stock injectors. If you read the whole thing you would notice that I thanked everyone just recently for their advice on suggesting larger injectors which helped me get closer to the 11 second bracket. I will continue updating until I reach the 11's so hopefully others can benefit from it as well.

You will need to know the specs of that cam to match it to the valve train such as those springs your planning on buying. Also if you go to gm high tech performance online and get on thier website type in the search box lt1 and they have plenty of builds in their explaining how they did thiers and they also have an article on what a guy used to get his car to an eleven second. I havent read the article but im sure it will explain very well.

That 94 Formula project is very interesting and almost identical as to where I am. I wonder who will hit the 11's first? Awe, who am I kidding they probably already have. I bet I spent a lot less money though.
