i'd never buy a hard top car if i had a choice, i have both a 95z28 and a 99 TA and are both t-top cars, i bought a 95 z last night to replace my 81 camaro that i've raced for the last 5 years, which also has t-tops

hard tops maybe nicer, but if i gotta drive 100 - 300 miles to different drag racing events, i want t-tops, subframe connectors and 6 point roll bars will make a t-top car just as stiff as a hard top car

my 81 camaro has well over 2500 passes on it with just subframe connectors and its a little twisted, but not much if that old *** car can handle it for that long, a 4th gen f-body definatly can

This is true to f-bodys (93-02) That the roof s are cut out for t-tops but the hard tops are reinforced for the hard top panels witch do make them more stronger that a t-top car that the only means of support is the locking pin for the top .
Eather way sub-frame connectors are highly recommended.

also, where ya at and what you have done to your supra?
Thanks. I'm at keesler afb in MS, in the air force.

My supra is NA, one of the main reasons for getting rid of it. Don't feel like swapping in a GTE engine and don't have the place to do it anyway. Otherwise it just has intake, catback, and some other free mods. Fun car to drive, just too damn slow.

The hardtop cars hare two more structural support's on either side. This is the part you have to cut out during a t-top conversion

I've noticed all the guys saying they have TA hardtops are owners of 93s. T-tops weren't an option until 94, I believe.

They made T-Tops in 93, just wasn't a prolific thing.

I've got to get me some of them for my car.

Anyway the price shoud be less without t-tops but both have advantages and drawbacks. Just whatever you want.

My black 94z28 had a hardtop. I thought it looked cleaner than the t-top cars. I would have liked to take the tops out but it wasn't that big of a deal to me. Now I have a 94z28 drop top. You can def feel the difference between the two. HARD TOP feels much more structurally sound, kinda miss it.

Actually, after about 98 or 99 I think it was, you couldn't even order a hard top T/A. You could only get a hard top Formula.

T/A's got standard T-Tops after about 95.
