How to quiet her down a lil.???

K guys my 383 had to have custom y-pipe made because of the Canton oil pan. SLP shorties to y-pipe, no cats, to Flowmaster cat-backs with Flowmaster muffler. Loud as hell. At first I thought it was great, now my brain is starting to vibe from the base from it. My rear view mirror is blurry for cryin out loud. What can I throw in there to soften her up a lil?

A cat will help, maybe a bullet muffler along the line some where.

Moroso makes a twister bullet Jegs p# 710-94051 that is supposed to be very quiet.
I put a regular bullet inline before the rear axle and it took the drone out of my Magnaflow. I also added some 3" resonator tips I got at Autozone that fit perfectly inside the big slash tips.
Now my exhaust purrs pleasingly.

I'll probably put this inline when I get my longtubes.

I don't know but I've ordered one. I've read posts from guys saying they're too quiet but I'm 45. You can put it before the pipe goes over the axle, or where the cat was. Just a regular 4" by 14" bullet will cut down the resonance if you just want to quiet it a little but not too much. You could fit a longer straight through along the driveshaft if you wanted to.
