How quickly should fuel press. drop off after priming the pump?
Testing my fuel pressure and it is 41-42PSI after turning the key and priming the pump. I let the car sit for about 5 minutes and looked and there was maybe 3 PSI change. After about 30 minutes more I came out and the PSI was at 20, does this sound normal? I searched and some people it bled of quicker while others it stayed pressurized much longer than my system.
Also at idle the pressure is steady 36 PSI every time, I believe this is normal. I have not taken it for a WOT run because I cant figure out how to temporarily mount the gauge in front of the windshield.
Thanks in advance for any help. Now I smell like gas and so does my office LOL.

Re: How quickly should fuel press. drop off after priming the pump?
Man that is alot better then what mine did before i replaced my pump. I was having trouble with me car barely running after warm-up so i tested my fuel pressure with the guage. I turned the key on and primed the pump, and before I could even get out of the car and under the hood the pressure had completely went down to ZERO, within 5 seconds. I did it again and had a friend prime it while i watched the guage and as soon as the pump turned off and finished priming I watched the needle drop steadily down to zero again within about 5 seconds. So i would say your still in pretty decent shape.
