How to plug CAI after !AIR??

I am about to remove my air pump. I have heard to use M22x1.5 drain plugs for the holes on the exhaust manifolds, but I don't know what to use to plug the hole in the CAI where the hose attached. Any ideas?

I got a big vacuum plug at autozone. I got 2 in the package, want one. well shipping would not be worth it.
any auto parts store should be able to set you up. take the intake tube with ya and match one up.

I just went to autozone and got what they called heater blockoff caps. they are in one of those little "help" packages. They weren't in the main help section though. They were with the heater hoses and thermostats and stuff.

the K&N FIPK comes with a blockoff cap for that. I lost mine. Made a call to K&N and had a new one 2 days later. In the meantime I used a big bulb condom from the ricer section (couldn't find a big enough vacuum cap).

Does anyone know if leaving the AIR hose will make the car run different? The shop that installed my headers unhooked my AIR and just blocked the holes in the header and left the rest open. They told me it wouldnt mess with my emissions

It won't make the car run different, but unfiltered air will be sucked in thru the hole.

Oh okay. Not much weight though. But i can understand the cleaning up under the hood part it is extremly crowded under there. Do you have to do any kind of tuning after you remove it? Because i just got my car smogged about 1 month ago so i can remove it for about almost 2 years till i gotta get smogged again.

On my 94 didnt throw any codee at all, unplug yours and see if it throws any codes, i think your car would pass emmisions with it off, i dunno tho i live in oklahoma we dont know what emmisions are.
