Everyday.

Seriously though.......I've heard of guys saying everything from once a year to every oil change to after XXXX amount of miles........seems to be a large difference of opinion on this.

For me it'd be once every few years - although I only drive my ride about 1500K a year.

I use sea foam in my gas tank right before I change my oil and also use deep creep through the TB before every oil change.

I love it.

You can find Sea Foam in NAPA.

I used Sea Foam a couple of days ago... I used the whole can... but not at once... I began to pour it through the Brake Booster hose with engine runing... (keep your thump on the hose to keep engine from stalling or over revving... I slowly let the vacum suck the sea foam in....until Hell broke loose!!! I nearly chocked my self to death with the fumes that came out!!! and it was outdoors with a slow wind!!...

turned the car off and sat for about 7 mins watchin how the smoke still kept coming out of my tail pipes.

After that time has elapsed I got in the car waited for no incoming traffic turn the car on and took off like a bat out of hell.... i didnt make it far though..... the fumes were so bad I actually got embarrased and park.... the incoming traffic had their lights on at about 3pm in a sunny day...

I am sure someone cursed me out too....

Then I crancked her up again and no more fumes came out... I used the remaining 1/3 of the can and it didnt smoke anymore... now it does feel very light on its wheels.... nice feel....

One thing though I pulled one of the spark plugs when it cooled off and it has lots of carbon deposites on it...

What is seafoam, what does it do? Is it like a fuel injector cleaner type thing?

do a search on the the boards and you'll find a link to a walk through....by the way..i bought a bottle for $8 at napa...and put it in my gas tank and then i bought a bottle for liek $2 at smyth automotive...dunno if it is a local store or nationwide but that would save you some money...and well i put that through one of the vacuum ports on the engine...and it sputter and abotu stalled but i got the entire bottle down the tube and stuff and let her sit for liek 10-20 minutes and started up her up and went for a white smoke screen ride..ha couldnt see up my whole street...but face it..im only 17 with nearly no experience since everyone in my family takes their car to the shop instead of foolin with it and i did fine....so dont worry just find the link to the walk through and dump it in....you'll be fine...

Where do you put it into the system? Do you take off one of the tubes on the TB?
Put it through the brake booster line. Its the line that is on the round big black thing(the brake booster) on the firewall.

the guy that usually does the work on my car mentioned to me the other day as we were installin my loudmouth...which i love...that i should be using some sort of fuel injector cleaner in just about every tank of gas....and he said that the best thing and really the only thing that he would recommend is SEAFOAM...if i can get a few bottles for like $2.15 a bottle then i may start adding it to each tank....is this healthy? and then every other oil change ill prob run it through the vac port like that link shows....

I just used Seafoam for the first time the other day in my wife's Grand Am. I did 1/3 can through the brake booster hose and the rest in the gas tank. The car ran fine before, I just figured it would be good maintenance and might help the mileage a little.

As far as how often to use it... I think the can said every 2-3K miles.

I'm a little hesitant to put any additive thing like that in the engine. Wouldn't it cause corrosion and buildup deposits inside?
