How much would it cost to install a new intake manifold?

Im thinking about buying an LT4 intake manifold that has been altered to fit an LT1 and im wondering how much a shop would charge on average to intall it?

Is there any other mods or upgrades that should be done at the same time of installation?

My 1994 Z28's engine has 95,000 mile on it.

thanks in advance:-D

The LT4 intake manifolds ports are raised .1", they wont match up to your LT1 heads. I would just powdercoat your LT1 intake manifold. I would also do the labor myself (not hard at all)...

It would take a shop about 2 hours to remove and replace it, so 2 hours at $65 or so would the $130.

I know people don't want to hear this but it would be changing a manifold it pretty easy and I'm not sure if I'd trust a shop to do it as you have to put big bead of sealant on the front and back and then let it sit pretty much overnight. I've heard horror stories of shops doing it two or 3 times. JMHO, the right up on heads and cam swap explains the procedure well!

Yeah man just take it off (follow guide), paint it, clearcloat it and throw her back on. I had never worked on any car at all and I just got done with a heads/cam swap.

Also you reallize the performance gain is not going to be very much and the money would be better spent elsewhere? Again IMHO
