How much will a catback help?

Right now i have a custom made Mandrel bent Ypipe for my Jet Hotts, with no cat. It is welded directly to my stock pipe and runs back to a hooker aerochamber. I love the sound of my car but im wondering if it is holding me back? Is it worth it to get a catback?

On a stock car the larger I-pipe isn't going to help you much, especially since the biggest restrictions (manifolds & muffler) are already upgraded. 5hp at most IMO.

An "All Forged 385, Splayed Mains, LE2 Heads, Brett Bauer cam, Jett Hott LongTubes, CSR Electric WP, 52MM TB, Ported Intake, 30# Injectors, Comp Pro Mag RR's, BBk Underdrive, Spec Stage III" isn't quite stock. It would seem to me that the stock 2-3/4" IM pipe would severely choke a setup like that. It would probably like a 3.5" pipe.

My car is bolt ons and cam putting 320 hp 320 tq through stock cat back, 346 hp 338 tq with cutout. You tell me how restricting the stock cat back is.

It would be interesting to see what your stock I-pipe would do with a aftermarket muffler with better flow.

Probably no better unless you get rid of the step down to 2.5" at the muffler. Just go at least 3" all the way.
