I don't have a good place to work on my car, or a whole lot of time right now, but my winter ebater is acting up and isn't worth the money to fix, so I need to get my head gaskets replaced. I was just wondering how long of a job it is, or even how much some of you have paid to get them done. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

not sure exactly but i would guess several hundred dollars. It is time consuming and a pain in the ***.

 

Probably anywhere from $500-$1000 at a shop.

Most places quote $1000 or so. A complete rebuild is a little over twice the price so you may as well get it all done.

 

took me the better part of the day to do mine.. that was dropping it out the bottom on jackstands and lifting the car up...

as with price.. that job books out about 16 hours. @$50 an hour thats $800 in labor alone, then a headset cost us about $85. my shop would charge you $885. but we don't do a whole lot of customer work either just mostly wholesale.
