hey guys, this is my stituation. i blew a head gasket oso i pulled the heads off. i have impala head gaskets and while the heads are off i decided to put 2.02 1.60 valves heavy duty stprings and 1.6 rr. what kind of gains can i expect from this

depends if the rest of the car is stoch or if for example you have CAi, headers and a catback.

You will see some gains but nothin earth shattering, likely <10 hp

 

the rest of my car is completley stock. but 10hp most people say that just the 1.6rr alone gives you 10hp?

 

install an LT4 knock module to accomodate the added noise from the RR.

i would thinnk bigger valves, and rr, with a thinner gasket should give you in the neighborhood of 20-25hp

while they were off you should have had them ported a little...see even more gains
