How much power to run mid 10's?

Just a quick question. How much power to run mid 10's (10.5) with excellent tracton in a full weight LT1 minus 100lbs in various weight extractions and a 160lb driver? ballpark figure...

Looking at your sig, you should know since you have a 10 second car.

fwiw we had a 628rwhp car that ran 10.0's@140 @3560lbs.

so i'd venture a guesstimate of 500-550

Sounds about right... my neighbor has a 3700# GN and the engine made close to 600 flywheel hp. He's running a 3-speed with a lose high-stall (4000?) so there's probably a LOT of drivetrain loss. Ran in the upper 10s @ high 120s last time i heard. So for a 3500# car 500rwhp should be close.

Thats good to know b/c i should be there pretty easy. I am making 420+rwhp N/A and run 11.6@117mph N/A so with the 150shot I was hoping for 10.60's but only traction will tell

Stock 10bolt with 3.42's I have plans to upgrade to a Ford 8.8inch when this one goes but it's been holding for 3yrs of track abuse. Alot of 1.6 60's and a few 1.5's.
