how much oil pressure is too much oil pressure?

ok when the car is started cold since its been cold out it seems to have high oil pressure, just wondering what the highest the oil pressure should safely read at idle cold is... and also what could be the cause?

The oil is thicker when its cold so it shows more pressure, not sure how much is to much, but you are probably fine.

as long as it drops as it warms u should b fine...u should see 40-50 when fully warmed depending on the viscosity

mine goes as follows...45 when cold at all times

20-25 at idle warmed and 40 at all rpms warmed

but if ur seeing llike 60 at cold startup thats ok

I would avoid the vortech if your car has that many miles on it...
