how much HP gain?
Re: how much HP gain?
see my real need for speed is a bike.. once i have my car running moderate times, im gonna start saving for the bike..so i dont need a TT for my car, lol just a stock bike is faster than any car i could ever build. lol, somewhere in there is going to be a wedding ring...or so im told.

The car has a bit more than just go fast parts. The cam is also fairly mild (its nice to have the feel of an 11 second car that runs as smooth as a stock one). Once the blower is in it will be a different ball game though.
And yes, I would definatly agree that changing to the headers will increase zour plug access. MAC headers are some of the best ones for plug access IMO.

Re: how much HP gain?
I skipped a bunch of posts, so I apologize if this has already been said...
The gains you see from the cutout will vary a lot based on what catback you have. For instance, Corsa catbacks show very little gain with cutouts, since there are no restrictive baffles in the muffler. Flowmasters, on the other hand, show decent gains, since they make extensive use of baffles in the muffler.
So, what catback do you have?

its called revan racing? i dunno, it was on the car when i bought it...but the cutout is going in front of the cat...why does my catback exhaust matter?

With a really high-flowing catback, a cutout isn't removing very much restriction, and isn't going to have much effect on power. But with a really restrictive catback, a cutout is going to eliminate all of those restrictions (when open), and it will have a big effect on power.
Imagine you've got a stuffed up nose (restrictive catback). Normal breathing is difficult, but if you open your mouth (cutout), you can breathe easily.
Now imagine my nose is totally clear (non-restrictive catback). Normal breathing is easy, and if I open my mouth, it doesn't make a lot of difference.
at my analogy.
