how much for header install

Called the dealer they said 250. I was going to get my fellow fbody friend to help but he works 7 days a week. I found one dude, does exuahst work my dad has beenusing him for 20 years, he is ogin to install my shorties and plugs and do the welding from my offroad pipe to my catback for 80 bucks i think that is cheap. I supposed to go by there today to see how much he has done...

That is pretty cheap. Has the guy done headers on an LT1 Fbody before? He may not know what he's getting himself into lol!

I'd supply a case of brew on top of that, dude. $80 for all that is a hell of a deal.

My opinion -
You should invest in some Rhino ramps and some tools and dive in yourself. I'd never done more than plugs & wires, CAI, and a catback before I took on the headers. Took me much longer than it should've, but the experience was well worth it. I've since done a cam & valve train swap, CSI pump, BMR all over the place.. etc, etc.

PLUS - you'll still have the tools when you're done

At the very least, see if you can help the guy out.

i got my headers installed for $225 and i thought it was a good deal because my best friend paid a car performance shop $700 to install his headers and change plugs and wires and it took them over 12hrs to do all of that
