How much extra oil w/longer filter?

I'm currently running the K&N HP-2002 oil filter, and am going to switch to the HP-3002 longer style one. I was wondering how much extra oil I should run with this longer style filter. Thanks.

I use that filter and/or the AC1218..Both still use 5 quarts...I fill the filter full of oil first, then pour the rest in the motor..Run it and check the level...

I am not sure what the length of that is compared to the stock one but... When i removed my factory oil cooler i started running a longer oil filter that is listed for a 95 chevy p/u with a 350...its almost twice the length and i think it held about 1/2 a quart extra.

I always run a longer one. NAPA gold's come in three lengths all for the same price. They have been treating me good. 5 quarts is what I always put in, sometimes a tad over.

Oil coolers are know to leak and cause problems, they also add weight and extra plumbing under the hood which we have very little of to begin with.

I have mine gone on my 93 after about a week of getting it and been running a long filter since. PF35 delco
