How much of engine can I put together so it fits thru top

Question How much of engine can I put together so it fits thru top

Im putting engine and trans back into car through the top how much of the accessories can I put on the motor so it still fits? I was going to try to put everything but headers on. Anybody done this?

Take out the rad and acc condensor, take everything off the front of the motor except opti and acc. bracket. With the right angle the whole motor goes right in.

motor install

hi king, installed my engine with the headers on(edelbrock shortys)you can put the harmonic balancer on also but its real,real tight.......just do not try and get it in with the oil filter on,it will never go,,,good luck.

I dont think you can get it on with the intake on I couldnt anyway, since I already had the accessories on I put the headers on and put the motor in the bottom, worked well, but took another 6-8 hours.

Did you get that out with your hood still on? I probably wont put on passenger side acc. bracket stuff. Or intake.
