to give you some idea....and hopefully your stock LT1 will dyno better than mine...I have cai, shortie headers, no cats, flowmasters and I have a tuned pcm and I put down approximately 255-258 rwhp..but thats because I was running rich and these flowmasters probably didnt help much. I just saw a stock LT1 put just as much if not more than me and all they had was a good catbakc and cai..hmmm. You would think maybe a tune would have prevented running rich, but in my case...apparentlly not.

You made the same rwhp a stock LT1 would make. I know you said you were running rich but you shouldve been around 280-290rwhp.

That's what everyone is telling me..I should have ran a lil higher than that. I have my dyno sheet up if you would like to see how crappy it is. Anyhow, the other day I fixed my Rich problem so I'm happy about that. When I was at the Dyno to get those numbers, everyone was asking what I will run..since it was my first time..I kinda was thinking high like 275-280's..but ended up with around 255-258. I was pretty bumbed about that and was embarrased because I was the lowest run there. One of the guys said he previously owned an LT1 and when he dyno'd, he showed the same numbers and even had the same setup as I do. He blamed the Flowmaster muffler for a low run as he mentioned that on his last run he opened his cutout and it gave him mid 270's. So what does that tell ya...thats around 10-12 hp freed up right there. So now I'm looking for a better muffler or just run a E-Plate....but first I wanna dyno it again with my cutout open and now that my Rich problem is fixed.

Here is a graph of my dyno run last weekend, with only a Hooker cat-back and K&N CAI. 258.9 rwhp and 298.4 rwtq.

I was sorta dissapointed with it, since it looked as if it was breaking up in the higher rpm's. Ion (Madwolf on here), suggested that it might be detecting false knock and retarding the timing, but my Scanmaster showed 0 knock retard all the way to redline. I think my coil that's arcing probably had at least a little something to do with it.

With my stock LT1 with exhaust manifolds I dynoed 268 RWHP...Through an A4/3200 stall/4.10 gears. Funny part is the car was running 12.82 @ 106 MPH at the time

...That was THROUGH a Flowmaster, too. I really only had a good converter, good transmission, the RIGHT gears, good tires, and oh yea...A stock suspension... @ full weight. It was always a dead on consistant 12.9 car with the stock engine. We put 16 runs on it in one day...(12) 12.9X passes, (2) 12.8X passes, and (2) driver f$&# up passes which were a 13.6 and a 13.1. The 13.6 was when my cousin rolled through the beams and just "drove" the car through taking it easy. The 13.1 was when the rear didn't lock posi (wheel hop and no traction).
Oh...The car went 12.9's that day with each of the 3 drivers in it

How do you consider aftermarket exhaust, gears, and converter a stock LT1 car? Hell, I guess I'm stock too!

You were running high 12's with only a stall, cat-back, and gears? And how did you dyno 268hp through that high of a stall on an automatic? Not calling BS, but that's gotta be one helluva good running LT1...

Getting back to the original question, I've always thought that the STOCK LT1 dynos at SAE Numbers:

M6 255 rwhp / 290 rwtq
A4 240-245 rwhp / 275-280rwtq

I'm not as sure on the A4 numbers, but I've seen the M6 numbers verified by about 4 or 5 actual dyno sheets.
