How much do LT4 heads and intake cost?

I was looking into getting a set of complete LT4 heads and intake. How much do these run brand new?

The conversion kit from Pace parts (part#: PAC9295LT4 ) is $2289 for 93-95. Part #: PAC9697LT4 is for 96-97 and is $2329. Both kits come with the red LT4 manifold, fully assembled heads with 1.6RR roller rockers, LT4 HOTCAM, and all related gaskets. If you just want the heads, they're $666 a piece assembled without rockers. The LT4 intake is $232 on its own. That's $1564 for those components. Now add the HOTCAM kit at a price of $510 and you get $2074. Looks odd, huh? I guess the gaskets would cost $255? The LT4 conversion kit is starting to sound like a ripoff. If you really want to get ripped off, check out the price for the LT4 kit at www.moreperformance.com.

For $2300 you would be better of going with a set of AFRs and one of their port-matched LT4 intakes. If you have Adobe Acrobat, you can download their PDF brochure. From their website:

Heads: 10311 AFR SBC 195cc LT4 Reverse Cool Heads, (Specify chamber size 56cc, 74cc), L98 angle plug, complete w/ parts

Weight: 76

Price: $1,750.00/pair (190s are the same price too)

Then add another couple hundred for the matched LT4 intake. Voila, you have a set of heads that have MUCH more potential than the LT4s. IMO you get more for your money.
