How much of a difference between LT4 and LT1 intakes??

Is it just better flow, and can those results be achieved by doing a basic port job on a LT1 intake???

No difference.

LT4 heads flow better than LT1's, but the intake does nothing.

The LT1 intake is machined for a 58mm throttle body, and the intake runners are raised .100", so they will not directly to the heads without overlap, unless the heads are port-matched to the intake.

Yes it is...the stock LT1 manifold will fit a 52mm no problem.
