ok im changing my wp and would like to know how much coolant i need to buy to refill my system once im done so i can get it before i take my car apart... even my chilton doesnt tell me, everywhere i look just says fill until full, can someone give me an estimate on how much i'll need??

A gallon should be enough, or catch what you drain out and pour it back in.

 

The Haynes Manual advertises that the whole system holds 15 qts. So depending on whether you drain everything, radiator, left block plug, right block plug will kinda determine how much you'll need. If you get it all and put a 50/50 mix back in, you'll need 2 gallons. Think about it and go from there. Hope this helped.
