How much can the Trick Flow heads be ported?
How much can the Trick Flow heads be ported?
I know they flow something like 255 at .6 but has anyone tried porting them yet? Do they have material to be ported like the AFR's?
The new trick flow heads are being made as we type. According to trick flow not one pair has shipped yet. They are not a twisted wedge style either. Should ship to Summit in about to weeks, so with my luck I'll see them in June.

If you look at their pictures, you can definately tell that they are not "inline valves" they are indeed "twisted wedge" style.

the don't look inline, but they don't look so radical like their other heads..

It's too bad that's not a twisted wedge like their Gen I was a few years back.
But then again, maybe that wasn't the best way to go. I honestly can't remember the flow numbers on those. Too long ago.

OK, found them.

I have not seen any yet but I would assume that they are not a "new" casting as far as the ports go and they are using either their 23 degree head or the older "twisted wedge" head and made the water passages and intake manifold bolt holes to work on the LT1's. I might be wrong but this is my opinion on what they did.
Anyway, if it is the older "twisted wedge", they flow about 255 stock and 290 cfm or so after porting. It has been a while since I have done any of these but I do remember the low and mid lift #'s being good and the exhaust #'s geing good as well.

I posted the numbers on another thread. As far as the heads go the engineer I spoke with said they are NOT a twisted wedge design. There is also a typo on the Trick Flow page the chambers are 61cc and not 64cc. So unless the Trick Flow guy is WRONG this is (and was) the info I was given. Call and find out for yourself I'd hate to be WRONG!
