Call up a local garage, find out what they charge. Charge your guy 60%.

Charge enough to make it worth the hassle you have to deal with to do that job!

Quit yelling (turn caps-lock off).

So, you're not a Pro, and you are asking how much a Pro charges?
Honestly, you should NOT charge a Pro rate.

Charge minimum wage.

He would be a real wimp if he did that. LOL (if it is somebody you know then help them, but make them work) If it is a stranger charge them. I say 50% of shop cost.

He was asking what the pros would charge AND what he should charge. He wasnt going to charge shop price from the way I read it. Call 2 or 3 regular shops, not dealers, and charge between 50-65 % of that. Thats pretty much how I started my shop, and I still dont usually charge more than 75% of average shop prices now that I have my shop. If its something I dont want to do, but they still wont take it to anybody else, I charge closer to full price, But I tell them before hand.

$200 sounds about right for plugs, wires, cap/rotor for an LT1 around here. If hes actually wanting the whole opti changed out, I would say between $250- $275. Again thats about right for around here, check your local shops and figure the percentage.
