The Taylor Thunderwires that I have on right now are supposedly good to 600 degrees. Do you recommend heat sleaves with cast iron manifolds? Thanx, Rob

I use them with my wires, for those possible areas where the wires could brush against the header. It is also good to prevent any interference from any contact with metal.

I use heat sheilding off of 80's camrys. It's free from the junk yard where these cars now populate. You'll find it lining the AC lines that run right on top of the exhaust manifold. Mine actually rests against the headers with no problems in 10k miles
