With what everone else is saying - If its snowing or icy Load up the trunk with weight and you will be ok. I cant stress how much of a difference it is driving with an empty tank vs Full tank and then VS a full tank with 50-100lbs in the back of stuff to keep your rear wheels down

Since I have started doing a lot of work on my car, I'm severely **** about even driving it in the rain. My head hurts thinking about the sound of road salt bouncing around in the wheel wells. Oh and those 50 pound chunks of dirty snow/ice/salt that end up molding themselves right behind each tire on the fenders and quarters......I have to stop thinking about this!
Anyways, I drove mine the first winter I had it, and I thought it was pretty fun. RWD is awesome on snow

It's all in the way you handle the throttle and select tires. I bought an extra set of alloys for snow tires and never had to use them

Re: How many of you drive it in the winter?
I'm afraid to drive in snow in DE. They plow the roads but because there are no hills all the snow just blows right back onto the road. I was in my VR4 (all whee drive, all wheel steering) and i was doing about 60mph down the road. They were salted and all so i was fine, then the road just disappeared. All the snow from the huge empty fields next to the highway had blown over. Even with AWD i hit that snow and felt the car start to go so i did my best and kept it straight trying to safely slow down. As im flying through the snow i realize im in the U-turn lane and there is a huge mountain of snow where they had cleared it out earlier. By this point the snow wasnt covering the road as badley, and on the otherside it was clear (that's just how the wind was blowing i guess). I locked up the wheels and slide sideways into the U-turn cuz i new i wasnt stopping in time for that huge mountain of snow, and i let out that clutch and no lie drifted around the U turn at about 30mph. I was completely sideways and made it onto the opposite highway going in the right direction. It was insane. I couldnt do that again if my life depended on it. But anyway i would hate to see a Firebird try to deal with snow covered roads at highway speeds.
