I think Ed Wright (Fastchips), Rick Abare, and Jeff Creech (Carolina Auto Masters) all have LT1/4's that make over 500+ to the wheel N/A. How many motors like these are out there?

If there are any at all, i'm sure they are very few and don't get driven much..........at that point N/A you will need lots of things that would not last long on the street

Probably 0 that are street driven. Kinda funny since there are street driven 500+ rwhp hydrolic roller stock bottom end LS1 cars out there, yet people still think LT1's are equal to LS1's. :lol"

Yea street driven is a really broad term. I think most people shooting for 500rwhp N/A are using it in a race car. Sure you could drive a 4500 stall TH400 with 4.56 gears on the street, but is it really a street car??

where? After the heads, cam, and gearing I can't imagine a 500hp Small block that could be street driven... as in Daily driven. You can drive anything on the street though, such a broad term.

603+rwhp stroker http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=730759

445rwhp cam only LS1 http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=726581

The search is broken again on LS1 tech as usual Those are just the threads on the 1st page. And yes, the 500+rwhp stock bottom end cars have backed up the dyno #'s by trapping 101 in the 1/8th granny shifting.

I am gonna try, "think" I may be close. Got some issues to line out....then we gonna find out. With a stalled auto..that is gonna hurt me...with a stick I feel VERY sure I would make it. ANd yes this car will be street driven.

one of my friends made 420 rwhp through an unlocked 4L60E with a 230s cam and a 75 shot. granted this was an LS1. the car has gone a best of 10.7 @ 125. another friend has a completely built 346 w/ afr heads, big cam, and a 175 shot. it made 600 rwhp through a 6 speed and 12 bolt. he (admittedly having many problems with launching and keeping the car straight) ran a 12.2 @ 125. sometimes dyno numbers don't mean ****.

The problem here is the power you make, but more power killing parts you buy...which makes it harder.

So for someone to say they have 500+ rwhp in a car with a 6 speed, stock 10 bolt rear, LS1 driveshaft and normal radial tires is something to brag about, but they are never going to hook up and if they ever do, the stock 10 bolt is going to break...or the driveshaft with be shredded.

My dyno #'s are in my sig...that is with a TH400, non locking convertor, heavy driveshaft, Moser 33 spline 12 bolt with c-clip elims, MT ET Streets on 93 octane pump gas.

That was with problems and I will dyno the car after I put a vaccum pump on the car...I already fixed the exhaust leak I was fighting and will play with the tune some more.

I figure the combo will make in the 460 range on 93 octane when I am done with this combo. Assume a 28-30% drivetrain loss and the combo actually makes very good power.
