How many O2 sensors do I need?

How many oxygen sensors does a 95 Z28 have? One before the cat and one after? I've never changed them in 250,000 miles.
Thanks.

Two sensors, one on each bank, none after the cat. I would replace them with AC Delco sensors as well.

Can you please tell me if this goes for the '97 LT1 also? I have researched and researched. My Hanes manual says that their are 3, but then goes on to say that there may be more depending on the model. My Chilton's manual shows pictures of two for my engine (in line with your above post), one on each bank before the cat. But it doesn't state anywhere "97 LT1 has X amount of sensors".

ALso, if there are only 2, are they both the heated type? Thanks.

1996 and 1997 are dual-cat OBD-II. They have a total of 4 O2 sensors. One in front of each cat, and one behind each cat. All 4 of them are 4-wire heated. There are two different part numbers. The pre-cat sensors have a flat 4-pin connector, the after-cat sensors have a square 4-pin connector. Shoebox has the part #'s on his website:

Thanks! I looked on shoebox also, and while I found the part numbers, I still couldn't find how many I was supposed to have. And I knew that I wouldn't necessarily find all of them by just looking at the car either. So thanks again.

Considering the strange bends of the y-pipe and the position of a couple of the 02 sensors, it is pretty easy to miss them.
