How many bolts connect the bellhousing to the engine?

There are 6. One on either side should have a bracket attached to it holding wiring harnesses (at least on a '95).

uh, huh. Six bolts, the second one (rotating clockwise) is a PITA cause its so close to the unibody and a socket with wratchet wont slip on. Get a big prybar or a BFH and persuade that sheetmetal to scoot over about a 1/4" for easy slip-on access.
