About one quart below the low line on the dipstick.

Next time your changing your oil, fill it up slowly and turn the key to on, when the light goes off, you know how much you put in there, and let us all know then!
Kinda curious myself, so if I change my oil before you do, I will let you know.

Does that mean two quarts below the full mark, or three quarts total in the motor?

The low oil light will not come on when driving.

It only checks when you start the car.

Depends on the rpm of the engine. If idling or low rpm, may need to be 3 qts. down. If reving alot higher, and enuf oil is up top on it's way down, 2 qts. down may do it. BTW, lite should indicate 8-10# of pressure.
