How long until computer re-learns settings?
I had my battery disconnected for a few days to clean up engine compartment grounds. Took it out for a drive and it runs good - different but good. How long (miles or re-starts) does it take until the computer has re-learned its settings?
Please move to computer forum if that's where it belongs. I thought this question was too general to put there.

The settings don't change. The input from the sensors need to be registered especially if you are going to get your emissioins read. So usually it is recommended to drive around for awhile at different speeds---maybe just a few miles or half an hour or so just to get things up to snuff. If you are not going to get your emissions read, then you don't need to drive around. Just start your car and go. JMHO
Each fuel trim cell (map vs RPM) needs some exposure to relearn. Drive varying RPMs and loads for a while. Mine takes only 10-20 minutes to stabilize the commonly used cells, but others take sometimes days until I use them enough.
