How long should a water pump be good out of a car?

I have got a water pump from my 95Z that was removed with about 30k of use on it, and it has been sitting in a garage for the past 4-5 years (out of the car, completly drained empty). Does anyone think it still should be good? Or is that enough time were the probability of the seals being cracked is to high to be put back in a car with a brand new opti under it?

I had mine off for a year and a half while I was doing the motor. It had 80 some thousand miles on it and is still going fine.

Except for the bearings on the shaft, there really are no seals in it. Put new gaskets on and bolt it up.
