How long is the dowel pin come out with timing set on?

i am burning up opti's and i can almost guarentee my dowel pin is .620" long. But just to clear things up can anyone tell me how long a cam dowel pin petrudes out of the timing set.

i am looking at my dowel pin with the timing set and timing cover on.

I measured the protrusion of the stock pin from the front of the stock cam gear to be ~.410". The thickness of all cam gears may not be the same.
