How long do optisparks and WP usually last?
the trans am i bought recently had a replaced water pump and opti, the car never misses and feels real strong just curious to see how long these last, I was told about 70k miles, is that about right?

That's kind of a loaded question. How about between 5 and 250,000.
Really just depends. I ran my stock opti and wp past 100k mi. When I refreshed my valvetrain I found the wp bearing was shot so it got replaced with a Meziere unit.

Plus you have to take into consideration that the earlier opti's arent vented and are somewhat more problematic, at least in my car! BTW my car has 37k on it and the WP might be leaking too, thats to be decided.
