I don't think anyone makes one because the water pump for us is so engine specific.

I would certainly be interested if anyone did, though, due to my concern about an electric one failing suddenly and my coolant temps skyrocketing.

Ditto, I considered an eletric but a quick search on here changed my tune pretty quickly. After the horor stories I've heard, there's no way in hell I do an electric

Stewart Warner is working on a higher flowing pump for the LT1, but do not say when it will be available.

The electric ones flow more at idle, but have no comparision at 6K with the stock pump, More reliable also.

TPIS made a special belt driven mechanical pump for there own LT1 engine. I think they can make them up for people who want them, but I'm sure it costs alot

The stock water pump will work fine.

I very much doubt that flow numbers will matter all that much since most engines don't see 6k very often or for very long. Now if it were a silver star car or something along those lines, then it might make a difference.

I still see as a stock pump as more reliiable, even if one doesn.t run 6K at a constant.

I just installed a Meziere Elec WP in my car, and I'm putting an LED inline so I can tell if it goes out or not, that way I know if my car is being cooled. And I've heard the Elec ones actually flow more than the stock ones even at 6k. Not sure how factual that actually is, but I'm gonna look up the #s sometime and I'll post back here. It did have a noticeably SOTP power difference though.

that will tell you if your getting power to the pump but not if the pump is turning.
some one should make a two or three stage controler for these pumps. slow speed at idle, medium speed, and high speed at high rpm. that would make the pump last alot longer and reduce amperage draw
