how long did your opti last
MY original lasted 30k. I bought a new one and now at 60k I think it might be starting to go out again.... Is this normal or am I just unlucky...Also should I change the water pump while Im down there? There is no leakage yet.

Wow, man, my original opti is still in my car, but my car is in my shop and i will be putting in a new opti real soon, mine has lasted 190,000 some odd thousand miles, stock opti, i bought the car for buisness and i drive everywhere, so, maybe its just the car. Good luck.

My original opti lasted 100k then i swapped it out for a new opti. The original was still going strong but i just figured it was something that would leave me stranded soon enough so i replaced it.

125k as well.
Cap and rotor were trashed, replaced it with a cobbled together advance auto optical portion and a vented GM cap and rotor. over 20k on it without problems.
