how to install water pump seal

as mentioned, I just used the coupler without any problems

also from my experience if you tear it just a little bit, it will leak like the Titantic

This is also what I did. I'm not sure what size, or brand of socket it was, but it was a deep well just slightly larger than the shaft. I oiled up the socket, and it worked great. Once it was off the socket, and on the shaft, I just pecked it into place with a small hammer.
