how to install bottom timing chain gear and hub?

how to install bottom timing chain gear and hub?

How do i install the bottom timing chain gear and hub? I know there has to be a tool but what is it? and where can i get it?

The crank sprocket slides over the crank snout, aligned with the keyway on the crank. You can use a short piece of pipe to drive the sprocket onto the crankshaft.

As for the crank hub, use a Grade 8 threaded rod, some washers, and a bolt to push the hub onto the crank snout.

i understand what you mean about the gear but on the crank are you saying kust use a bolt to tighten it without any other tool?

Read again. He didn't say bolt. Use a high grade threaded rod, nuts and washers. If you pull it on with a bolt, you risk stripping the crank threads. I'm sure you don't want to do that, do you?

the pics were very helpfull im guessing you start the bolt then use the nut to tighten down the hub.

Yes, tighten the threaded rod by hand into the end of the crank. Line up the hub then use the nut to "push" the hub all the way on the crank.
