while disassembling the engine for an inspection of 2 years of the juice...............

rod bearings 1 and 3 were about reading to fail

and the number 4 main cap broke into two pieces when tapped to remove..........and i mean tapped........ not smashed.....

when i inspected the broken pieces the cast pieces were oil soaked,,, so it had been broken for a little while..........


so who here has broken a main cap? NA, SC,turbo,or N20........

 

Cracked main and it didnt fail? That's a new one on me

 

yes several people said i was very lucky............ it broke closer to the passenger side..about 3/4" from the bolt...........i need to get pics...........

i dont understand it either.......unless it happen right before i put it up and began disassembly...
