How the heck do I do a coolant flush?

I've got a gallon of the orange coolant (about 95% of a gallon, actually) and I was wondering how exactly I should drain, flush, and refill my system...

Do I drain it, run water through it, close it off, and just fill it back up? Do I pour it into the radiator? Reservoir? Do I run my car during this? Help! I'm confused!

Thanks, but it still doesn't say how much coolant I'll be needing. Anyone? Also, do you recommend that I take the thermostat out and flush the block with water too?

Thanks

Just mix your coolant 50/50 before you put it in and it wil be the right mixture. You can even buy it off the shelf that way now. The cooling system capacity is in the owner's manual.

12.5 qts manual
12.3 qts auto

If you want to flush the system, the best way to do it is to fill the system up with pure water, start the car. Get it up to operating temperature (wont' take too long) then turn off the car, and drain the now nasty mixture of water and gunk out through the drain on the radiator. You can also let out the plug on the actual block itself, but typically this one will do. Repeat until water is basically clean coming out, then do 50/50 mix to the amount specified by Shoebox.
