What kind of headers? Longtubes are a little bit of a PITA but shorites are too easy.

I think he means his stock manifold, which isn't hard at all. It's been awhile so I don't remember if comes out through the top or bottom.

I took out both through the top. Unbolting that stock rusted y pipe is the hard part.

If its a stock manifold, it will come out right through the top, its not that hard. If its a long tube header, you may need to remove the valve cover to gain a little extra clearance to pull it out.

Re: How Hard To Remove Pass Side Header?

I dont think hes talking about stock manifolds, because he said he had them installed. So why would he have stock manifolds installed. Anyways if they are long tubes, youll prolly have to jack up the motor to pull it out the top. Also take the valve cover off like 2000gtp said. The pass side is the bitch of the 2. My driver side was 10x's easier, but i was putting them in, had to make them fit right. Taking it out will be alot easier.
Anyone correct me if im wrong, but to get the valve cover off, you gotta take off the serpentine belt, and altenator. (at least it would be a hell of a lot easier putting the valve cover back on.)
If you jack the motor, and take the valve cover off, they header comes out pretty easily, i had to do this a bunch of times while installing mine.

Yes, you are right, taking of the serp. belt and alternator is part of the chore as is disconnecting the AIR line if the header is equipped with the AIR fitting.
