do a thread search for details maybe. Point Blank! It's not an easy job. I did mine last Friday and 18 hrs later it's done and done right. Here are some references.

http://www.zmydust.com/headers/install.htm
http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/fbody...be_install.doc (great writeup)
It just takes time and patience...lots of patience.

It's not an easy job by any means, but if you take your time and dont let yourself get frustrated, it's really not bad at all. Find you a good guide and print it out so you can follow along with it. I just got done installing mine about 2 months ago all by myself. Now that i've done it once, i wouldnt have any problems with doing again.

The best time to install headers is when you swap out the heads. It's real easy then. I would wait until I had a new set of ported to install.

I just finished up my AS&M install today. Yeah, it sucked at times and I wanted to burn the car and collect the insuranse money, but all in all it wasn't that bad. If you get fustrated just take a break. When you finally get to drive, it will be worth it!

its amazing how easy a header install is with the right tools. Im sure with the help of a friend, we could slide in a set of shorty headers in less than 6 hours.

Good advice, take a break. Mine took me 2 days@12hrs each. I was incredibly sore for 2 weeks. But it took close to 1/2 second out of my car and I won't be doing it again soon so it's all good.
