i sprayed mine for a week or so before i did my headers. They all came out except the alternator one it broke. I didn't need that hole anyways especially now that i got the new motor. My car had 100k on it.

Not too hard, AN offset wrench helps, They are SAE BTW, I used 15 mm on the first few and it worked finr but I think 9/16 was a tighter fit. Make sure you De-torque in reverse torqing sequence or you may warp the manifold.....And dont do it with the motor even remotely warm...

Mine came off pretty easy. I didn't spray them down at all. I used a torque wrench some extensions and a universal joint. It was a little hard getting to the last bolt but I believe I got that one from underneath.

I only used PB Blaster on my Y-Pipe bolts.

Mine came right off too. No problems at all. I didn't have to spray them either. Car had 80,000 miles on it. But now I have my NEW 383 Stroker with only 400 miles on it. Awesome!!!!

as said above, soak the night before and the morning of. I wouldn't spend too much time soaking the Y-pipe bolts because your going to break them anyway, so just keep that in mind if you are wanting to put it all back together.

That's not true.

I sprayed down my Y-Pipe bolts with PB Blaster from NAPA (came HIGHLY reccomended from this board) and I used that electric torque impact gun that everyone made fun of, the one that plugs into your cigarette lighter and you use it to change your tires....

That thing packs a punch lemme tell you. It took the y-pipe bolts out for me, 110,000 miles, and didn't break a single one.

I would say your in the minority by far...everyone I know that has done headers has busted at least one bolt and more like 3 or 4. I soaked mine to death for 2 days beforehand and I still broke all but 1 of them, so it was really just a big waste of PB Blaster.

Really if your not planning on reusing the stock stuff, its actually faster just to let them break off so you don't have to turn them all the way out...least for me it was

Where did you get this electric torque wrench from, I haven't seen one and would like to check it out. Thanks

I did mine at 115,000 miles.

Soaked all the manifold and y pipe bolts with PB Blaster the day before.

Used hand tools only in removing everything. Nothing broke.
