How hard is it to....

replace the fuel pump in an LT1? Do you have to drop the rear end or can it be bypassed?

Cool, how do you like your new cam? Does it pull or what? I am finishing tomorrow with my cam install. I am running 32lb injectors...I will have to drive for a week withthe stock fuel pump....take it easy until I replace the pump with the 255lph I have waiting. Thanks for your help and the rest of you guys that chimed in on this thread.

I did a fuel pump on a v6 convertible bird, it was a bitch and a half. U have to drop the rear-end about 2-3 ft, u also gotta remove all the freakin suspension ****, it took us about 1hr to drop the tank and about another to put it back in. Overall i dont really think it's that bad, but then again i did it on a lift with the car about 5-6 ft up in the air and a bunch of air tools.

doing it the old school way is fairly easy also. It takes longer of course but the only hard part was "moddifing" the gas tank neck, and the metal that it rubs against to get it out!
